Private walking tour will show you the strong impact Jewish artists, traders, investors, scientists and architects have left during centuries in what stands as today's Zagreb's identity. In up to three hours tour, we'll visit some of the Croatian capital's landmarks that were built represent the strong influence of its Jewish inhabitants. You shall hear stories of struggles for recognition, historic unfortunate segregation but also integration in the former Yugoslav and modern Croatian society. There is a chance for a daily trip to Jasenovac to visit the memorial museum of the largest WWII concentration camp in region.

Throughout its whole history numerous influences have left their trace in what is now known and recognized as the identity of Zagreb. When you learn that Zagreb's central cemetery of Mirogoj was found after the agreement of four major religions that lived one close to another in Zagreb, (Catholics, Orthodox Christians, Protestants and Jews) at the end of 19th century, you can get an idea how rich in combining different cultures the history of Zagreb is. Depending on how much time you can invest into exploring Zagreb's heritage I'll be more than happy to guide you through various influences of many different cultures, nations, religions and individuals that – at the end create unique and open minded identity of Croatia's capital.

Daily trips where we can visit Samobor, just 20 km from Zagreb It’s former capital of Napoleon’s province surrounded with beautiful hills and wine yards where some of the best Croatian wines are made and enjoyed. Or we can go towards North to enjoy real life experience of Neanderthals’ in a modern 3D museum dedicated to life in their caves close to Krapina. And to see some of the most beautiful castles of Croatia. On the way back you’ll experience local domestic cuisine made from organic and bio ingredients and visit wine cellar where you can pick a wine that will pair with your meal.

ABOUT US

We are a group of Seenagers, middle aged, experienced world travellers that like to share passion for various cultures, heritages, modern life trends, music, art, politics, history and people with travellers that choose to visit our home town Zagreb and country of Croatia. We are all faculty educated senior with different backgrounds and we’ve been involved in various businesses through our past lives. We’ve been journalists, radio hosts, TV producer, members of managements of various media companies. We’ve worked in marketing and PR. We won several international communication awards and served as a member of international juries. But most of all, we like to talk to people. Now, we serve as a members of a Croatian jury for the annual recognition of best restaurants. At the same time we are founders of a FB beer fans group „I Love Beer“ that has more than 2000 members. Some of us are also sailing skippers and experienced skiers. By being a licensed it enables us to share stories of our multicultural country and home town to travellers looking for a joy of life wherever they are.
